After-Repair Value (ARV)

Mike Starr·Reviewed August 2026

After-Repair Value is the estimated market value of a property after planned renovations or repairs are completed. It is commonly used by lenders in fix-and-flip or renovation loan programs (like FHA 203k) to determine how much to lend based on the property's future value rather than its current distressed condition. ARV is typically determined by a licensed appraiser.
