Cap (ARM)
ARM caps are limits on how much the interest rate can change. Periodic caps limit rate changes at each adjustment. Lifetime caps limit the total rate change over the life of the loan. For example, a 2/2/5 cap means the rate can move up or down 2% at each adjustment, with a maximum lifetime change of 5%.
