Closing Agent
A closing agent is the neutral third party responsible for managing the final steps of a real estate transaction. They collect and disburse funds, prepare closing documents, ensure all conditions of the sale are met, and record the deed with the local government. Depending on the state, a closing agent may be a title company representative, escrow officer, or real estate attorney.
