Co-Borrower
A co-borrower (also called a co-applicant) is a person who applies for a mortgage alongside the primary borrower. Both parties are equally responsible for repaying the loan. Co-borrowers' incomes and credit scores are both considered during underwriting, which can help qualify for a larger loan or better interest rate.
